Your Daily Arsenal — 14 August 2026

Arsenal's business away from the pitch continues to dominate the build-up to Sunday's Community Shield against Manchester City. The BBC reports Arsenal have opened talks with Galatasaray over the sale of several squad members, with the Turkish club also holding an interest in Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri, with the Guardian's transfer gossip column putting a figure of £38m on any Martinelli deal. The Evening Standard separately reports Galatasaray have responded to an Arsenal enquiry for Victor Osimhen, though the Nigerian striker is said to be attracting interest from elsewhere too. The New York Times has explored whether Arsenal's struggles to sell surplus players, including on the left wing, might force a rethink on upgrading that area. Elsewhere, the Standard reports Arsenal have reached an agreement with Liverpool over a young forward, and the New York Times confirms the club have agreed to sign 16-year-old striker Vincent Joseph from Liverpool's academy, having scored eight goals in nine appearances for England's under-16s.

On the pitch, Arsenal Women were beaten 3-2 by AC Milan, with a full report and gallery on the club's own channels. The men's under-18s and Premier League 2 sides both begin their new seasons shortly, while Marli Salmon's promising pre-season continues to draw attention ahead of Sunday's Community Shield.
